About Us
Welcome to Collinstock, a new resource for both images and assignment work in architecture and the life around it. The site is built specifically for manufacturers and dealers of architectural products and their agencies and design firms. It is also for editors and publishers who day in and day out need to find and cover the newest and freshest architectural projects being completed today.
While you’ll see that most of our images are of Residential Architecture, Commercial Architecture and the Products and Brands within them, we’ve chosen to take a broader view of defining architecture. So we also offer categories in Landscape Architecture, Golf Architecture and architecture related to Famous Places, including Cityscapes, Monuments and Landmarks.
And because much of architecture exists to help people exude and enjoy a sense of lifestyle, you’ll see that we’ve populated our site with images of things that help connect emotionally to the geography within which a home is built. So whether you’re looking for Cowboy Chic or New England Seaside, Southwestern Casitas or Southern Charm, we will strive to have the most up-to-date and broadest selection of images in the architectural field that you can find anywhere.
We are currently working on uploading thousands of images onto the site, so while we’re processing images, if you don’t find something you like, chances are we have what you want – we just don’t have it uploaded yet. In the next two months we expect the number images available for download will increase significantly.
We currently have nearly 60 highly acclaimed architectural photographers submitting work and taking assignments from all over the United States and Europe.
Recently we've added three sections to the library. The Conceptual collection is made up of images that are somewhat iconic and ripe formetaphorical headlines and ideas. In the Disappearing America category,you'll find shots of architecture and places that are past their prime - places we might remember fondly, but that are now in disrepair. Finally we have constructed a category with people in places - homes or offices for example. We've called this category "The Human Element".

You’ve probably noticed by now that when you first come to collinstock.com, we ask if you’re looking for a photographer or an image. Here’s what you need to know to get the most out of the site.
Searching for images. Until we can get all of the thousands of images uploaded, you can easily see what is in our site by using the Quick Jump drop down menu. Go to any category and you’ll usually see a selection of sub-categories. You should be able to easily get through the entire category in a matter of minutes. See something you like? Save it on your personal lightbox. You can save multiple lightboxes for different projects. If you see something you like, give us a call and we will set up a corporate account for you, which will allow you to download comp images for layouts, specify image and file size and finally price and license the images you want.
Again, if you don’t see something you’re looking for, give us a call and we’d be happy to help search our other files and the backlog of images we’re uploading.
Searching for photographers. We’ve personally recruited some of the best architectural photographers in the world. We’ve also recruited them based on the geography they’re in. While most of our photographers travel and do assignments all over the world, they like to have work close to home, as well. We’ve found that manufacturers and their agencies find it convenient to have high quality photographers nearby their project, ready and able to shoot at a moments notice. It helps to cut down on travel costs and many times the shoot can be scouted, organized and executed without as much notice.
We’ve also tried to get a good selection of photographers with different specialties and pricing structures. We never publish prices on our site, but would be happy to help you pick the right person for your situation. We can provide more information on each photographer on request. On top of it all, we can provide a Collinstock discount if you want to have us help you with multiple shoots.
