Douglas Sterling

Personal information

Photographer Douglas Sterling was born in Napa Valley, California. He attended Art School in Boston where he was commissioned for his first photography assignment. Here, his love for photography began. Doug lived on both coasts before returning to California to build his business in San Francisco. This eventually brought him back home to Napa Valley.

He has been a NorCal Board Member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and a member of the Association of Independent Architectural Photographers (AIAP).

Like the land in which Douglas grew up, his work is a combination of beautiful color and soft texture. He has the ability to capture structure and space in just the right light, transforming them into fine art.
