Born in Czechoslovakia, Peter Sellar obtained his formal architecture
education at the Technical University of Kosice. His interests in art
and art history, architecture, and industrial design are the foundations
of his professional skills and are reflected throughout his work.
After defecting to Austria in 1984, Peter moved to Canada in 1985 and
began his career at CBC Television. Working in disciplines as diverse as
Lighting Technician, Auto-cue Operator, Audio Technician, Cameraman,
Studio Director and Production Assistant, he was part of the production
team for several prime-time shows, including The Journal with Barbra
Frum, Midday with Peter Downey and Valerie Pringle, The National with
Knowlton Nash and Peter Mansbridge, Midday News with Sheldon
Turcotte and The Late Night News with Hilary Brown. Sports Remotes
and TV Drama. In 1988, Peter was an assistant director for the Economic
Summit in Toronto.
Peter bought his first camera in 1990 and never looked back. Using his
flare for imagery, art direction and sophisticated lighting, he produces
works that elevate his subjects to the level of fine art. The creative
process he employs sets the highest standards in contextual and
corporate considerations. As the principal of KLIK, Peter offers a full
portfolio of commercial photographic services, specializing in
architecture, landscape and industrial design.
